Our executive team

Q ENERGY France is led by an experienced and accomplished management team with a combined 100+years of direct expertise across the renewables sector. Meet the team:

Jean-François Petit

Managing Director

Jean François has been Managing Director since November 2018. He joined the company 18 years ago as Business Development Director and launched the solar business and more recently the storage business in France. He was also responsible for the successful bid for the St Brieuc offshore wind farm project with the Ailes Marines consortium. He has over 20 years of renewable energy experience and is an active board member of the French Wind Energy association (FEE).


Francisco Varela

Development Director

Francisco leads the development teams in our four business units: onshore and offshore wind, solar and storage. He is also in charge of the departments in charge of innovation and new markets, working on future technologies and new business models. Since joining the company in 2006, Francisco has acquired a solid experience in project development and engineering, strategic planning and business development, in France and internationally. He graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico of Buenos Aires as an Industrial Engineer and has a Master in Renewable Energy from EUREC.


Céline Spitzhorn

Solar Director

Since joining the company in 2019, Céline leads the solar team of over 50 people. With more than 20 years’ experience in renewables, including 15 years in the solar field, Céline has demonstrated strong leadership in project development, engineering and construction as well as strategic business planning, both in France and internationally. She graduated from the University Paul Sabatier in Toulouse with a DESS in Environmental Geoengineering & a Master in Environment & Geoengineering.



Jade Aparis

Wind Director

Jade has been leading the Wind Development and Instrumentation teams since the beginning of 2022. Thanks to a complete career path, which started as a Territorial Business Manager when she joined the company and continued as Regional Manager and then Head of Wind Development France, she benefits from a solid experience in project management, institutional relations, strategy and market vision. She holds a master's degree in Renewable Energy Project Management from Poitiers and joined the company in 2012 as part of her end-of-study internship.


Joshua Lim

Director of Operations

Joshua has been leading the construction, engineering and finance teams at Q ENERGY France since June 2022 but has been part of the Hanwha Group since 2002. He has over 20 years of experience in the development and EPC industry, particularly in real estate and infrastructure projects. He joined Hanwha's renewable energy business in 2012, where he worked in the development of the solar photovoltaic business in Spain and Italy. Before joining Hanwha Solutions and coming to Europe, he was General Manager of a real estate company in Texas, for Hanwha Engineering & Construction's real estate development.


Jean-Luc Lopez

Engineering & Construction Director

Jean-Luc leads the engineering, construction, grid, and procurement teams. Since joining the company in 2002, Jean Luc has gained solid experience in strategic planning, supplier relationship and contract management & negotiation. He has strong experience across onshore wind, solar and storage technologies. He is a Mechanical Engineer graduate with a Master in Renewable Energies & their Production Systems from the Arts & Métiers ParisTech.


Yann Bardet

Finance & IT Director

Since joining the company 7 years ago, Yann leads the Finance and IT teams. He has a strong expertise in Financial Control, FR GAAP Compliance & FR Tax, IFRS Reporting and Transaction Support and has previous experience in a CPA and audit firm. He also leads IT services strategy, projects and policies. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting (D.C.G). and a Master’s degree in Finance & Accounting (D.S.C.G).



Julie Moreau

HR & Continuous Improvement Director

Julie leads the HR & Continuous Improvement Department. This team provides support and knowledge to the business units through ambitious continuous improvement projects. She leads the learning organisation programme in relation to knowledge and skills management, the animation of communities of experts and career development.

She has acquired solid experience in strategic and operational HR development, change management and leadership since she joined the company in 2008.

She is a Certified Professional Coach and holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources as well as a Master’s degree in Business and Foreign Languages.



Clémentine Huber

Legal Director

Clémentine leads a team of 8 lawyers and 1 paralegal, all with strong backgrounds in either business or public law. A specialist in M&A, since joining the company in 2014, Clémentine has supported the business in all major transactions (contractual structuring, negotiation and drafting).
The legal team advises on all business activities and strongly supports decision making processes.
She graduated from the Paris Bar and the Sydney Bar (New South Wales) and has a specialized Master’s degree in international law and management from HEC/ESCP-EAP.


Ludovic Ferrer

Commercial Director

Diplômé d’un MSc en génie mécanique des Mines Nancy et de l’IEP Paris en économie internationale.
Ludovic leads the transaction team, with a track record of 100MW of closed wind and solar projects in 2 years.
The team covers the transaction sale process, project due diligence & contractual investor and bank relationships, commercial support in origination and strategic partnerships. Graduated from Mines Nancy with an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, he also has a Master in International Economics from the Paris Institute of Political Studies.


Sébastien Mellinger

HSE Manager

Sébastien has led the HSE team for over 10 years and has +20 years of HSE experience across high risks industries. He supports the business on operational and strategic HSE, sustainability and ISO certification implementation, and offshore H&S management. He leads the Safety Leadership programme aimed at developing our HSE culture. Sébastien is strongly involved in Trade Associations (FEE, SER, WindEurope) on HSE topics and has a Master in Management, Quality, Safety and Environment from the Engineering school of CESI and is an accredited ISO Auditor.
